About Me
My name is Jane Watts and I am just about to be 33 (a typical split personality Gemini ;o)
Having worked in International Banking after leaving school I was always interested in finance so in my mid twenties I became self-employed and trained as a financial adviser and mortgage broker. This led on to my interest in property and in 2002 I quickly bought and sold my first investment property, having already done well on a couple of my own residential places.
This success led to the birth of JSD Property Ltd, a company I set up with two partners. We secured a deal to buy 15 properties at the location I now live at and so my life in property began in earnest!
I could never explain how hard the first few years were – such large-scale dealing in property is definitely not for the faint-hearted (or sane, come to think of it :o)
Now though I have a great business with both short and long term tenants and so I decided to try something new. I found that there is a huge demand for ultra-top-class rented property but as taking on an entire place is just completely out of reach of a lot of people, house-shares are the next best thing.
Why, just because they can’t quite afford a whole apartment (or don’t want to compromise the location in order to afford somewhere) should people have to settle for a dingy, unmodernised home with a complete lack of any quality about it?
Such is the standard of the majority of room-lets, I am sad to say. I decided to create the crème-de-la-crème of house shares and judging by the response I have had, you quite like it! I intend to offer these facilities in more and more locations around the UK and who knows, maybe one day there will be a Jane Watts-style house share available anywhere you wish to stay!
